Did someone say luxury home tour?

iMortgage is putting on an event for local real estate agents touring  some of the most beautiful (and expensive) homes in Laguna Beach and the south coast.

This is the second best thing about real estate for me. We’ll talk about the best part some other time. As long as I can remember, I’ve had a fascination with homes and real estate. I tell a story often when I’m asked,  ”why did you get into real estate?”. My mom was an interior designer for  a couple of home builders when I was growing up, and I spent many of my weekends playing in the dirt lots of the unfinished developments while she meticulously decorated the interiors of model homes. It rubbed off on me (also explains my compulsive furniture rearranging). One day I accidentally stumbled upon Floral Park, an amazing neighborhood in Santa Ana, along my 9 mile commute home from school. If we ever dated, I probably drove you through there once or twice, not that an ex would read my blog or anything. It clicked! I love homes! I like looking at them, I like home design, I like reading about them, I like to tour them, and of course, I like to sell them too.

I preview dozen’s of homes every week on behalf of clients or just to know what’s on the market. Sometimes I find myself rushing through and hurrying to the next one. But when I see a gem in the MLS, I’ll add it to my list even if I don’t have a client in mind.

So now you can understand when I say I’m really looking forward to next Wednesday. Even though my home market is primarily West Orange County in cities like Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, and Garden Grove, we tend to list and sell homes throughout all of Orange County. With 4 kids, I don’t need to tell you that $3 million for a home is a just little out of my budget, and who doesn’t want to look at oceanfront homes in Laguna Beach like this one at 24 North La Senda Drive?
